KANE STYLE ALE

Spruce Bedspring starts off as a dry American IPA but finishes with a twist. Canadian 2 Row and Roasted Wheat comprise the Grist Bill. During the boil we hit the kettle with Simcoe, Centenni-al, and Cascade for aromas of Pine, Citrus and Resin. During conditioning, we add a natural Spruce Tincture. The blend of Pine and Citrus mingle with the Spruce flavors and create a beer like no other.

Pairs well with Fish Tacos, Pasta and White Chocolate.

ORIGIN STORY

in the late 1980s the then Mayor of Pittsburgh referred to Bruce Springsteen as Bruce Bedspring. Folks have debated on whether that was intentional or not. Maybe she wasn't a fan. Who knows. One of our wholesale reps in Pittsburgh (Hi Gene!) has been trying to get us to do a spruce beer for a long time...and this name really came from him. We always love it when a name of this quality makes it to us! The Spruce is Loose!
